We’re more cultured than yogurt. Today we visited the Museo de Arte Latinoamericano de Buenos Aires - MALBA - where we saw paintings by Diego Rivera, Frida Kahlo and Antonio Berni, then a massive outdoor sculpture near the University called the Floralis Generica, an 18 ton metal flower that opens its petals every morning. Then it was a night at one of the three best opera houses in the world, the Teatro Colón, to see Puccini’s Turandot, the story of a prince who wins the hand of the Emperor’s daughter by answering three riddles.

Had our first taste of yerba mate, a popular, tea-like energy drink of the indigenous cultures, which is served hot in a gourd and sucked through a filtered straw. And just had to try the pizza, which was not as good as the empanada. And of course some more dulce de leche - they put it in every dessert, bless them.
